Capatides tripled CBS News' social media followers

Christina Capatides, CBS News' Senior Vice President of Social Media and Trending Content, has significantly expanded the network's social media presence, tripling its followers. Capatides oversees social strategy for CBS News and its stations, including popular programs and platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok, where she has cultivated a large following. She also launched successful social-first video franchises like "The Uplift" and "Down To Earth." Her work has earned multiple awards, including Webby Awards and a Shorty Award, and she previously produced documentaries for CBS Reports. Capatides joined CBS News in 2015 after working at ABC News.
