Canoas begins revitalization of Emef Farroupilha sports court and schoolyard
The city of Canoas signed a service order on Tuesday (4) to begin revitalization of the sports court and yard at Emef Farroupilha school in the Niterói neighborhood. The project totals R$ 262,550.03, funded by a parliamentary amendment with a municipal contribution of R$ 4,936.16. The work, executed by Capinames Ltda., covers 378.9 square meters, including renovation of the main court and adaptation of a mini volleyball court. Planned improvements include polished radier flooring, new fencing, tactile paving, curb lowering, new goals and backboards, plus lightning protection and drainage systems. Completion is expected by late October. School director Juliana Volcanoglo Biehl noted the 66-year-old institution serves 460 students, while officials emphasized the project's role in supporting education and community sports.
