Canela's Refis 2026 settles R$ 7.2 million in taxpayer debts

The municipal tax amnesty program (Refis) in Canela has negotiated over R$ 7.2 million in taxpayer debts as of Monday, with 634 contributors joining so far. The program offers up to 100% discount on interest and fines for cash payments, with reduced discounts of 80%, 60%, and 40% for installment plans ranging from 2 to 48 months. R$ 1.5 million has already entered city accounts. The Refis covers individuals and companies, including debts from IPTU, ISS, other municipal taxes, and non-tax liabilities. Enrollment runs until September 30 at the Municipal Palace or via designated emails.
