Cancer survivor raises awareness of pancreatic cancer symptoms
Bryony Thomas, 46, was diagnosed with borderline inoperable pancreatic cancer in December 2019 and was given a grim prognosis. After surgery in January 2020, she is now celebrating five years cancer-free, a significant milestone for her condition. Bryony is now raising awareness about pancreatic cancer symptoms, emphasizing the importance of discussing health issues openly. She encourages people to recognize signs like jaundice and changes in bowel habits, which can indicate pancreatic problems. To mark her recovery, Bryony plans to run the London Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK. She highlights the need for better communication about health symptoms to aid early detection and improve outcomes for others.
