Canara Bank cuts free ATM transactions to 5, raises withdrawal fee to Rs 23

Canara Bank has reduced free monthly ATM transactions for regular savings account holders from six to five, effective September 1, 2026, and raised cash withdrawal fees beyond the limit to Rs 23 plus GST from Rs 20. The fee for ATM transactions declined due to insufficient funds has also increased from Rs 17 plus GST to Rs 23 plus GST. Senior citizens retain eight free transactions monthly, and the charge for non-financial transactions beyond the free limit remains at Rs 5 plus GST. The five-transaction limit covers both financial and non-financial transactions at Canara Bank ATMs and cash recyclers. However, the bank reduced the Green PIN regeneration charge from Rs 23 plus GST to Rs 5 plus GST for eligible card variants.
