Canada names eight firms sponsoring work permits for Nigerians, others

Canada has listed eight companies under its Global Hypergrowth Project, allowing eligible foreign hires, including Nigerians, to obtain LMIA-exempt work permits through the Innovation Stream. The pilot has been extended to March 22, 2028. The companies include Ada Support, AlayaCare, Clarius Mobile Health, Clio, Lightspeed Commerce, CellCarta, Vive Crop Protection, and Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group. They span AI, health technology, legal software, and agriculture, with many offering remote work and various benefits. Some firms, such as CellCarta and Duchesnay, were not hiring regular positions in Canada at publication, while Vive Crop Protection listed only US vacancies. The programme aims to simplify access to highly skilled talent for fast-growing Canadian firms.
