Canada braces for winter weather with snow and wind warnings across multiple provinces

Parts of Canada are facing winter-like weather ahead of the season, with warnings issued for snow and wind in several provinces. Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Alberta, and British Columbia are affected. Saskatchewan is expected to experience extreme cold, with wind chills near -40°C. Northern Alberta and British Columbia have snowfall warnings, with some areas expecting up to 50 cm of snow. Snow squalls are also forecasted for regions near the Great Lakes. The Atlantic region is under wind warnings, with gusts reaching 110 km/h. This winter is anticipated to be colder than last year, which was the warmest on record in Canada.
