Bulgaria's Defense Ministry said fragments from a drone that exploded near a Trans-Balkan gas pipeline compressor station indicate it was likely a Ukrainian decoy drone. Preliminary debris analysis indicated a "Maya" decoy widely used by Ukrainian forces, but no grounds exist to believe the incident was intentional. PM Rumen Radev said the drone entered from Romania and exploded about 1,000 meters from the station near former border post Kardam. Romania shot down drones for a third day running on July 26; first aerial interception occurred July 24. Earlier, Russian drones repeatedly fell on Romanian territory near the Danube during attacks on Ukrainian ports.
