BSF detains four Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian touts near Meghalaya border
The Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian touts near the International Border on January 12. The group was attempting to enter India illegally with the help of the Indian nationals. The BSF acted on specific intelligence and intercepted the individuals in the East Khasi Hills District. The Bangladeshi nationals intended to settle in India and sought assistance from the Indian touts for their illegal movement. All apprehended individuals were handed over to the police in Dawki for further legal action. The BSF continues to focus on preventing illegal activities at the border.
