Broward School Board reinstates cap-and-gown vendor Herff Jones despite audit concerns

Herff Jones will now compete with Jostens for contracts starting with the Class of 2026. Some Audit Committee members express concern, stating Herff Jones should settle its debts before being awarded new contracts. The district's previous audits revealed significant overbilling by a former contractor, Chuck Puleri & Associates, who owes the district over $300,000. Herff Jones claims it is not responsible for Puleri's debts and disputes the audit findings.
