Brothers guilty of sexually abusing girls as young as six over 14 years in northern England

Three brothers have been found guilty of sexually abusing girls as young as six over a 14-year period from 1996 to 2010. The brothers, Shaha Amran Miah, Shaha Alman Miah, and Shaha Joman Miah, targeted vulnerable victims in Barrow-in-Furness and Leeds. The court heard that the brothers groomed their victims with gifts, alcohol, and cigarettes. They were convicted of multiple sexual offenses, including rape and indecent assault, following a trial at Preston Crown Court. The brothers have been remanded in custody and will be sentenced in February.
