Broncos seek 3-1 start against undefeated 49ers in San Francisco

The Denver Broncos aim to improve to 3-1 on Sunday by defeating the undefeated San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium, a critical matchup given both teams' strong starts and Denver's challenging schedule ahead. Broncos head coach Sean Payton needs one win to move into sole possession of 12th place all-time for regular-season coaching victories, while quarterback Bo Nix is 123 passing yards from tying for seventh in team history. Wide receiver Courtland Sutton needs one catch to tie Ed McCaffrey for fifth-most receptions in Broncos history, and tight end Nate Adkins could become the first undrafted player at his position to score in three straight games. Defensive lineman Zach Allen seeks his fourth sack to become the first Broncos lineman since 2016 to reach that mark in four games, while Nik Bonitto needs two sacks for 40 in his career. Kicker Wil Lutz aims to extend his 103-consecutive extra-point streak. Denver leads the all-time series 8-7 but is 3-5 on the road against San Francisco.
