British couple freed from detention in Afghanistan

Elderly British couple Peter and Barbie Reynolds, detained in Afghanistan since February, have been freed. The couple, aged 80 and 76, were released following mediation by Qatar and have been flown to Doha. They had been held by the Taliban's interior ministry and later moved to a prison in Kabul. The Reynolds have lived in Afghanistan for 18 years, running an organization focused on education and training programs. They are now en route to the UK to reunite with their family.
