Brighterdaysahead may race in Aintree Hurdle next
Brighterdaysahead might race again soon after a disappointing performance at the Cheltenham Festival. The horse finished fourth in the Champion Hurdle, a race filled with surprises. Both the favorite and the defending champion fell during the race, while Brighterdaysahead struggled and did not run her best. Her team, led by trainer Gordon Elliott and owners Gigginstown House Stud, is considering entering her in the William Hill Aintree Hurdle as a quick comeback. Eddie O'Leary, a representative for Gigginstown, mentioned that they may have identified an issue that affected her performance. He expressed hope that the problem has been resolved. Brighterdaysahead had an impressive run during the Grand National last year, and she seems to perform better on left-handed tracks. Aintree may be a good fit for her, but if she is not ready, the team could consider racing at Punchestown instead. O'Leary said they will assess her condition before making a decision on her next race.
