In 2024, breast cancer became the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the state, according to government data. Out of nearly 790,000 women screened, 45 were diagnosed and are receiving treatment. The screening initiative also identified 26 cases of oral cancer among over 1.6 million people screened, and 10 cases of cervical cancer among 216,000 women screened.
