Brazil's Supreme Court Justice Nunes Marques dismissed a case by presenter Marcão do Povo against former minister Anielle Franco over a note about racism against singer Ludmilla. Morais had demanded explanations after the Racial Equality Ministry, then led by Franco, expressed solidarity with Ludmilla over a 2017 TV incident in which he called her a racist slur. The justice deemed the note vague and not defamatory. The note, released in December, referenced the incident after it resurfaced late last year. Morais sought to know if the ministry intentionally attributed a crime to him.
