Braford cow Jasmine sets R$567,000 record at Expointer in Esteio

A Braford cow named Jasmine was valued at a record R$ 567,000 at the Expointer fair in Esteio, Brazil, after a 33% share sold for R$ 189,000. The sale set a valuation record for the breed in the country. The animal, from São Gabriel, is prized for reproduction and genetic improvement, not meat. Breeder Lucas Antoniazzi attributes the high value to her lineage and past awards, including Grand Champion at the 2025 World Braford and top 0.1% growth rankings. Buyers seek exclusivity or commercial embryo sales, a strong market. Jasmine recently gave birth to a calf named Luísa, which the breeder hopes will compete at next year's fair.
