Boston Blue's Reagan Family Separation Makes Sense After Season 2 Update

Boston Blue season 2 will feature Jamie Reagan in a guest role, appearing only in episode 5, which airs October 9, 2026. His brief visit highlights why Danny's separation from his family is a deliberate narrative choice for the spinoff. Jamie, played by Will Estes, will spend most of his time with Danny during the episode, which co-creator Brandon Margolis calls a "one-off" for the brothers. His return follows guest appearances from Erin, Joe Hill, and Henry Reagan in season 1. Jamie's short stay is justified by his responsibilities as an NYPD Sergeant and new father in New York City. His limited appearance reinforces the show's focus on Danny's new Boston life while making his brief reunion with Danny a memorable, pivotal moment.
