Bordeaux police seek witness videos after protest violence

20minutes.fr (French) —

Authorities in Bordeaux are asking witnesses who filmed violence during Saturday's protests to submit their videos to police to help identify the perpetrators. The appeal came after the prefecture building was partially ransacked. During a press conference, officials reported interior damage to the prefecture and noted 63 police officers were injured and 110 people were arrested, 40% of them minors. The prefect urged parents to ensure their children do not participate in looting. The violence included the looting of an Apple Store and a Decathlon, with 50 to 100 shops vandalized. The city showed damage from riots, including burned bikes and broken tram windows, with clashes occurring near city hall.
