Bologna tram work: Via San Donato reopens, Santa Viola roadworks begin

ilrestodelcarlino.it (Italian) —

Starting Monday, two-way traffic returns to a section of Via San Donato in Bologna, restoring normal bus routes after delays in completing electrical work for the tram. The reopening covers the stretch from Via Andreini to the ring road exit. The delayed asphalt work was postponed to finish installing and testing new tram electrical services. From 10 AM, bus lines 20, 21, N3, 88, 93, and 213 resume regular routes, ending detours, while line 35 also returns to its standard path. Starting Tuesday, major roadworks begin at the Via Pertini and Via Prati di Caprara intersection in Santa Viola, lasting about ten days. Traffic will face lane restrictions and diversions, with work phased to manage impacts on emergency vehicles heading to the Maggiore hospital.
