Boeing 737 makes historic road trip in Pakistan from Karachi to Hyderabad
A retired Boeing 737 was transported by road in Pakistan for the first time, traveling 154 kilometers from Karachi to Hyderabad. The journey took about two and a half hours on a specially designed truck and trailer. Before the move, the aircraft's wings and tail were removed for transport. It will be reassembled at the Civil Aviation Training Institute in Hyderabad for training airport firefighters. The transport caused some congestion on the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway, although traffic was not officially blocked. This event follows a similar transport of Boeing 777s in Saudi Arabia last month.
