Blue Planet III explores the ocean's darkest depths with David Attenborough
Sir David Attenborough will narrate Blue Planet III, a new six-part BBC series exploring the deepest parts of the world's oceans, promising to uncover marine life "more precious than we ever realised." The series airs this autumn, marking 25 years since the first installment premiered. Filmed over nearly four years by the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol, the production uses advanced equipment like remote cameras, drones, and manned submersibles to capture newly discovered animal behaviours. Attenborough, who turned 100 this year, said he was "proud and delighted" to be associated with the project. The series features an original score by Hans Zimmer and a song co-written by Jade Thirlwall. Attenborough described the ocean as "an endlessly fascinating place," highlighting the importance of understanding humanity's relationship with it.
