Blue Origin revealed its Blue Moon MK2 lunar lander's sunshield and is preparing for the second New Glenn rocket launch. The company is advancing hardware development for the Blue Moon MK2, designed to land astronauts on the Moon for Artemis missions. The sunshield will protect the lander and its transporter from radiation and cryogenic propellant boil-off. This large, 20-meter diameter sunshield also integrates solar panels generating over 23 kW. The MK1 cargo lander is expected to launch in 2026, followed by a second MK1 with NASA's VIPER rover in 2027.
