Blue Origin completes static-fire test for New Glenn rocket ahead of first launch
Blue Origin has completed a static-fire test of its New Glenn rocket, marking a key step toward its first launch. The test occurred on December 27, shortly after the company received a launch license from the Federal Aviation Administration. The test involved igniting seven BE-4 engines for 24 seconds at Cape Canaveral, demonstrating the rocket's readiness for launch. Blue Origin plans to proceed with the inaugural flight, potentially scheduled for early January. The upcoming launch will carry the Blue Ring Pathfinder technology demonstrator. This mission replaces a previous NASA payload that was removed due to scheduling conflicts.
