Blue Note's first U.K. club in London opens with Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper and more

Blue Note London, the legendary jazz brand’s first U.K. venue, opens Sept. 23 with Robert Glasper headlining and serving as creative ambassador. The 250-capacity Covent Garden club launches on John Coltrane’s 100th birthday. Glasper plays opening shows Sept. 23-24 and returns Nov. 13-27. Erykah Badu, Jamie Cullum, Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, KOKOROKO and Hak Baker are confirmed. Tickets go on sale Aug. 14. Blue Note operates venues in New York, Tokyo and elsewhere, but this is its U.K. debut. The main room hosts two nightly performances, with the venue open until 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
