Former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said European countries gave Ukraine more aid than the US, refuting claims they freeloaded off Washington's support. Speaking at New York's Economic Club, Blinken said for every dollar the US invested in Ukraine, Europeans and partners contributed $1.50. He added much American funding was spent domestically on weapons for Kyiv or replenishing transferred equipment. Blinken called Russia's war a catalyst for Western military adaptation. Separately, the Pentagon reorganized its Ukraine security assistance group, transferring some leadership to allies while maintaining support commitments.
