BJP protests wrong medication at Anchal hospital

BJP protested at Anchal government hospital after a patient was reportedly given the wrong medication. The incident allegedly occurred at the hospital pharmacy, where a heart medication was substituted with a thyroid drug. The patient, Vijayan Pillai of Agastyakode Udayabhavanam, reportedly developed swelling after taking the incorrect pill. He was examined at Punalur Taluk Hospital, where the medication error was discovered. BJP workers staged a protest at the hospital. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Suchitra assured that an investigation would be conducted and action taken against those responsible. The protest was called off following discussions with police and leaders. BJP members including S. Umesh Babu and others led the demonstration.
