Bishnoi gang used Indian students on study permits for crimes in Canada, CBSA report says

A Canadian Border Services Agency intelligence report says Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang used Indian students arriving on study permits for organized crimes in Canada, including shootings and murders. A December 2025 CBSA report says targets initially included Khalistan supporters and Punjabi businessmen, expanding to extortion of other Indians by 2025. In 2024, complaints against Indian citizens rose 47% while overall such crimes fell 10%. One recruit, Abhijeet Kingra, arrived on a student visa in 2018, was offered C$4,000 to join, and became a shooter in an attack on AP Dhillon's home. Goldy Brar coordinated Canadian operations.
