BioWare shares decade-old concept art for early Dragon Age: The Veilguard development

BioWare's art director, Matt Rhodes, has shared eight pieces of concept art from 2014 for the early version of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. These artworks were created before Dragon Age: Inquisition was released and explore potential storylines. The concept art depicts various scenes in Thedas, including naval battles and interactions between characters like the Inquisitor and casteless dwarves. Some pieces also feature Dailish Elves and Solas, hinting at themes that would appear in the final game. Rhodes noted that these early sketches reflected the momentum the team had at the time. He emphasized that the artwork was a first attempt to develop the game's setting in Tevinter, which is a key location in the final version of Dragon Age 4.
