timesofindia.indiatimes.com —

A 15-year-old boy died of burn injuries at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Friday, 12 days after an explosion at a former firecracker manufacturing site in Bijnor district, following the earlier death of his 12-year-old brother in the same blast. Rohit and Rohan, residents of Sherkot, were severely burnt when the explosion occurred on Sept 20 near a closed brick kiln in Wazidpur village. Rohan died five days later, while Rohit succumbed on Friday. Police registered two FIRs based on the boys’ father’s complaints, naming several accused under BNS sections including culpable homicide and negligence. Most accused have been arrested, with efforts ongoing to trace the remaining suspects, according to SHO Ram Pratap Singh.
