BHU announces 199 Junior Clerk positions for 2025

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has opened applications for 199 Junior Clerk positions. Interested candidates can apply online through the university’s official website. The deadline for both application submissions and fee payments is April 17, 2025. Additionally, completed application forms must be sent to the university by April 22, 2025. To be eligible, applicants need to be second-class graduates. They must also have six months of computer training from a recognized institution or hold a computer diploma. The salary for these positions falls between Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200. The selection process includes a written test, a computer proficiency test, and a skill test. Candidates must pass a Computer Typing Test, requiring a speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Age limits vary by category. For the general category, candidates must be between 18 to 30 years old. SC/ST candidates can be up to 35 years old, while OBC candidates can be up to 33 years old. There is a non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 for candidates from the UR, EWS, and OBC categories. No fee is required for SC, ST, PwBD, and women applicants. Payments can be made online through various methods, including credit and debit cards. The selection tests will assess candidates’ computer skills, such as proficiency in MS Office and common office tasks. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their written test performance.
