BeyondShape has developed Inbody, a 3D scanner for monitoring and treating postural and scoliosis issues. The Inbody system uses photogrammetric 3D technology to create accurate anatomical models from photographs, enabling non-invasive measurement of trunk volume and spinal curves without radiation. The company, a spin-off from Federico II University, is now a small and medium-sized enterprise that also designs and produces custom orthotics, including scoliosis braces with integrated sensors for monitoring patient compliance.
