Bengaluru upgrades one Wilson Garden crematorium furnace

One of two furnaces at Bengaluru's Wilson Garden Electric Crematorium will temporarily close for essential upgrades, impacting cremation capacity. The shutdown, starting May 26 and lasting until September 2, will allow for chimney and infrastructure improvements to enhance safety and efficiency. Only one furnace will remain operational during this period, potentially causing delays. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is overseeing the upgrades and has requested public understanding, suggesting alternative facilities if needed.
