Bengaluru scooterist sets record with 311 traffic violations
A scooterist in Bengaluru has accumulated 311 traffic violations, a record for the city. The violations include not wearing a helmet and using a mobile phone while riding. The scooter is shared among multiple users, including the owner, Periyaswamy. Traffic police took action after a social media post highlighted the pending fines, which had increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.6 lakh. Following the post's virality, police tracked down Periyaswamy and his relative Sudeep. The police seized the scooter after Periyaswamy requested time to pay the fines. He must now settle the outstanding amount, as failure to do so could lead to further legal action.
