Bengaluru man pays Rs 1.6 lakh in traffic fines with 20-meter receipt

A scooter rider in Bengaluru has paid Rs 1.6 lakh in traffic fines for 311 violations after his vehicle was seized. The payment receipt measured about 20 meters long. The fines increased from Rs 1,05,500 last year to Rs 1,61,500 this year. The rider was found violating traffic rules, including riding without a helmet. Bengaluru Traffic Police are intensifying efforts against repeat offenders with outstanding fines over Rs 50,000. They are issuing notices to encourage violators to settle their dues.
