Belgian wage indexation gives 2% raise to 2 million workers, capped for top earners

rtl.be (French)

Around two million Belgian workers receive an automatic 2% salary indexation in August, though the increase is capped for higher earners. The raise affects eight joint committees, including construction, metallurgy, banking, and the public sector. A 3,000-euro gross salary gains 60 euros; a 4,000-euro salary gains 80 euros. Salaries above 4,000 euros are indexed only up to that amount. The partial indexation, introduced in last year’s federal budget agreement to help balance public finances, will also apply again in 2028.
