Belal Muhammad mocked Leon Edwards' UFC loss online
UFC London took place at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, and British fighters faced tough challenges. Molly McCann, a fan favorite, shocked the crowd as she retired after a first-round submission loss. Many fights on the card ended in decisions, leading to a less exciting event than anticipated. Leon Edwards headlined the event against American Sean Brady, looking to recover from his loss to Belal Muhammad last July. Edwards had previously blamed his defeat on the early fight time. This time, the fight started at a more convenient hour, around 10:30 PM. Despite having the crowd support, Edwards struggled against Brady and was submitted in the fourth round. Meanwhile, Belal Muhammad took to social media to mock Edwards during the fight. He made light of Edwards' earlier excuse, asking, "What time is it in London? Asking for Leon." Muhammad further pointed out that he had defeated both fighters, and claimed, "Everyone has an off night when 'The Bully' is in front of them." As the fight neared its conclusion, he quipped that Edwards was still on the "5 am time zone." Edwards has now lost his last two fights convincingly, while Muhammad prepares for his first title defense against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315. With rising contenders like Brady and Shavkat Rakhmonov, Edwards will need to win several fights to return to title contention.
