Béarn sees record February temperatures nearing 30°C

Béarn recorded the highest temperatures in France on Tuesday, February 24, reaching nearly 30°C. This unseasonably warm weather was attributed to an air mass from Morocco and southern Spain. Temperatures in Béarn and Soule experienced spring-like, even summer-like, warmth. The Saint-Gladie station registered 29.6°C, setting a new February record, with several other locations also breaking monthly records. This heat follows a February that was both very rainy and significantly warmer than average. The warm weather is expected to continue through the end of the week, with temperatures gradually decreasing.
