Battle Creek's Binder Park Zoo celebrates 50th year

Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan, has begun its 50th-anniversary season, marking a half-century of connecting visitors with nature. The zoo, which opened in 1975, has welcomed over 10 million visitors and will host special events like the Cheetah Chase 5K and Wild Wednesdays throughout the year. New live music performances and the return of Tour de Zoo are also planned. The anniversary season will conclude with Corks & Kegs at the Zoo in September, continuing the zoo's mission of inspiring conservation through engaging experiences.
