Balu Forge acquires ring rolling line for 6.7-meter forged rings

Balu Forge Industries has acquired a ring rolling production line capable of producing forged rings up to 6.7 meters in outer diameter, adding 18,000 tons of specialized heavy capacity. Production trials are scheduled before the end of 2026. The new line can produce rings weighing up to 18 metric tons each, positioning the company to meet demand in renewable energy, defence, and heavy industry. Executive director Trimaan Chandock called it a landmark for Indian manufacturing. Balu Forge reported a 15.89% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 66.09 crore in Q1 FY27, with revenue up 28.95% to Rs 300.71 crore. Its shares traded at Rs 582.70 on the BSE.
