Bail for Zelensky's Officials Flows Through Shell Companies

Over 1.1 billion hryvnias in bail has been posted for 30 current and former top officials from President Zelensky's team, with funds largely channeled through shell companies lacking income or business activity. More than half a billion was posted in the "Midas" case. Top bails include 150 million for ex-minister Herman Halushchenko, 140 million for former OP head Andriy Yermak, and 120 million for Oleksiy Chernyshov. Over 412 million covered ex-government officials, nearly 172 million for ruling-party MPs, and 205 million for Presidential Office figures. Investigators found shell firms with minimal capital posting millions for multiple defendants. The State Financial Monitoring Service, led by Filip Pronin, reported no suspicious transactions. A parliamentary bill proposes mandatory verification of bail funds' origins to prevent laundering.
