Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong resigns as infrastructure commission special adviser

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong resigned as special adviser to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure. He cited Palace pronouncements contradicting his appointment terms and undermining his role, alongside doubts about the ICI's independence, making his service untenable. Magalong previously led the PNP inquiry into the 2015 Mamasapano operation and his dual role as mayor and adviser had raised conflict of interest concerns.
