BAE Systems secures $184 million contract for additional Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles for U.S. Army

BAE Systems has received a $184 million contract to produce 48 additional Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles (AMPV) for the U.S. Army. This order is part of an ongoing full-rate production contract. The AMPV replaces older M113 vehicles and enhances the Army's capabilities with improved survivability and mobility. The vehicles come in five variants, including medical and command options. BAE Systems is also expanding its production facilities in York, Pennsylvania, to increase output for both U.S. and potential international customers.
