Ayodhya sets two Guinness World Records with 2.5 million diyas during Deepotsav celebration

Ayodhya celebrated its first Deepotsav since the Ram Mandir inauguration, setting two Guinness World Records. The event featured over 2.5 million diyas lit along the Saryu River and 1,121 participants performing 'aarti' simultaneously. This year marks the seventh time Ayodhya has set the record for the largest display of oil lamps. Over 30,000 volunteers arranged the diyas, while QR codes were used for entry during the 'diya rotations' record attempt. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a Guinness certificate for the achievements. The event also showcased cultural performances from various countries, highlighting Ayodhya's spiritual significance and rich heritage.
