Austria's Best Traditional Inns Named in 2027 Gasthausguide

Austria's Kurier freizeit magazine has published its 2027 Gasthausguide, ranking the country's best traditional inns. The guide names winners for each of Austria's nine federal states based on food, drinks, service, and ambiance. The rankings were determined through a reader nomination phase, a two-month online public vote, and evaluations by a professional jury led by culinary expert Herbert Hacker. Top scores reached up to 100 points, with the highest-rated establishments earning four crowns for 95-100 points. Provincial winners include Steirereck Pogusch and Weinbank Wirtshaus (Styria) with 99 points, Döllerer Wirtshaus (Salzburg) with 99 points, and Gastwirtschaft Floh and Triad (Lower Austria) with 98 points each. Other winners were Gasthaus Stern (Vienna), Csencsits (Burgenland), Restaurant Waldschänke (Upper Austria), Wirtshaus im Hotel Neusacherhof (Carinthia), Landgasthof Linde (Tyrol), and Gasthof Hirschen (Vorarlberg).
