Australia Post opens 3,500 Christmas jobs across NSW, Victoria, Queensland

Australia Post has opened applications for 3,500 seasonal jobs ahead of the Christmas rush, with pay rates starting at $35.83 per hour and reaching up to $40.12 for licensed roles. The roles, available across metro and regional areas, include truck drivers, forklift operators, parcel sorters, freight handlers, and van drivers. Truck driver positions start in early September, while other roles begin in mid-October, with most ending after Christmas. Australia Post delivered a record 111 million parcels last Christmas season. The company says many seasonal workers have gone on to build long-term careers, with New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland offering the most positions.
