Brown was found severely burned in a vacant lot and later died in the hospital. He had no identification, and his case remained unsolved until this year when researchers linked him to a missing person report filed by his family. The identification was made possible through genetic genealogy, which involved building Brown's family tree. This process revealed connections to his family and confirmed his identity after years of uncertainty.
