Chief Minister Atishi inaugurated a new 2.2 km flyover connecting Anand Vihar to the Apsara Border in east Delhi on December 25. The flyover, which has six lanes, was completed in August but delayed due to two protected trees. The flyover allows drivers to bypass three traffic signals, potentially reducing travel time by 12 minutes. It is expected to benefit around 150,000 commuters daily and improve traffic flow in the area. Constructed for ₹ 347 crore, the project is the 38th flyover and underpass initiative by the Aam Aadmi Party government in the past decade. Safety measures have been implemented around the two trees that remain on the flyover.
