Atasu calls for scientific conservation of Ahom-era monuments in Sivasagar

Members of the All Tai Ahom Students' Union (Atasu) protested in Sivasagar, demanding better conservation of Ahom-era monuments. Atasu called for scientific conservation methods to protect these monuments from deterioration. They expressed concern over the current state of these sites, emphasizing their cultural importance to Assam's heritage. The group submitted a memorandum to the district commissioner, requesting regular maintenance, monitoring systems, buffer zones, and improved security for the monuments.
