At least 10 dead and 8 missing after bridge collapse in northern Brazil

At least 10 people have died after a bridge collapsed in northern Brazil, with eight others still missing. The incident occurred on December 24, when a section of the Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira Bridge fell, sending vehicles into the Tocantins River. The navy reported finding a woman's body six kilometers from the bridge. Four trucks, two cars, and two motorcycles were involved in the accident. The bridge, built in the 1960s, connects the states of Maranhao and Tocantins. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse, which remains unknown. The bridge spans 533 meters and is located about 1,300 kilometers north of Brasilia.
